At the beginning of 2024, the Digital Society Initiative received two new communities. One of them is the DSI Community Digital Humanities, which is now starting its work with a kick-off event. All interested are invited.
For our new educational program «DSI Minor Digital Skills» we are looking for a study program coordinator with a 40-60 % workload. This person has experience in higher education and is responsible for the operational coordination of all processes of this program.
The ZuriACT (Zurich Accessible CiTy) project aims to use data on accessibility features to make an important contribution to a barrier-free Zurich city center. The project team hosted an event on January 24 to provide information on the current status and celebrate what has been achieved so far. Attendees were also informed about the next steps in the project.

The Digital Society Initiative (DSI) has produced a new video podcast with the Swiss Drone and Robotics Center (SDRZ VBS). In seven episodes, the state of drone technology as well as legal and practical aspects of drone defense are explained.
Markus Christen (Managing Director of the DSI) and his team have created a guideline focussing on the non-technical aspects of cybersecurity. The research team was able to present these to the Federal Parliament at the end of December 2023.
