Digital Society Initiative

Official kick-off for the new DSI Community Digital Humanities

At the beginning of 2024, the Digital Society Initiative received two new communities. One of them is the DSI Community Digital Humanities, which is now starting its work with a kick-off event. All interested are invited.

With the newly established DSI Communities AI & Law and Digital Humanities, the Digital Society Initiative (DSI) has a total of 14 communities since the beginning of 2024. The official launch of the DSI Community Digital Humanities will take place on February 28, 2024 with a Kick-off meeting.

The aim of this event is to present current projects and activities in the field of digital humanities at the University of Zurich (UZH) and to discuss future goals and opportunities. The presentations and discussion will be followed by an apero, giving participants the opportunity to connect. All existing and new members are invited, as well as anyone interested in digital humanities. Participation is free, but registration is requested for organizational reasons.

The DSI Community Digital Humanities aims to create a dynamic hub for research and teaching in the rapidly developing field of digital humanities at UZH. The community focuses on consolidating and improving existing activities at UZH in this field, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and addressing common challenges through workshops and seminars. Further information on the DSI Community Digital Humanities can be found here.
