Promotion and Recognition: The DSI Celebrates Two Achievements
The DSI congratulates two of its members: DSI Professor Nadine Zurkinden has been promoted, and Dr. Sintieh Nchinda Ngek Ekongefeyin, a doctoral student in the DSI Excellence Program, has received a Graduate Campus Career Grant.
The DSI congratulates DSI Professor Nadine Zurkinden on her promotion by the Board of the Universto of Zurich. Since 2024, Nadine has been Assistant Professor with Tenure Track for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law with a special focus on International Criminal Law and Economic Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich. As of June 1, 2026, she was appointed Associate Professor.
The DSI is also pleased to congratulate Dr. Sintieh Nchinda Ngek Ekongefeyin, a doctoral student in the DSI Excellence Program, on receiving a UZH Graduate Campus Career Grant. His project, AIDAPT-CMR, investigates how large language models can support safer decision-making in primary healthcare in Cameroon – specifically, whether AI-generated responses based on clinical guidelines are useful, feasible, and safe for triage, the detection of warning signs, and initial care. The project provides initial insights and guidelines for the responsible use of AI in resource-constrained healthcare systems. The grant supports Sintieh’s path toward an independent research career in the fields of responsible AI and digital health.
We wish both of them continued success.
