The DSI Postdoc program: A stepping stone for early-career researchers
The DSI Postdoc program gives early-career researchers something rare in academia: their own budget, their own team, their own agenda. The first impact of our anniversary campaign «Decade of Impact» shows what that makes possible. Four former DSI Postdocs tell the story themselves in the video.
Twelve researchers – from computer science, medicine, philosophy, law, the arts and environmental sciences, among other fields – work within the DSI Postdoc program on questions that hardly any discipline can answer on its own. Without traditional hierarchies, with real responsibility. And with societal impact as the measure.
What that makes possible can be seen in the first cohort. The four researchers now work at a university of applied sciences, at a university in French-speaking Switzerland, in the federal administration, and at the University of Zurich. They work topics ranging from inclusive mobility and sustainability to health policy and information systems for public value.
To the impact: DSI Postdocs
The DSI Postdoc program is the first of ten impacts in the DSI's anniversary series «Decade of Impact». Every week in the run-up to the anniversary celebration on November 24, a new impact will be published here and on the DSI's LinkedIn channel.
