The Digital MasterClass: knowledge for those who make the laws
Fake news, information overload, artificial intelligence: for members of parliament, well-founded decisions have never been harder to make. The Digital MasterClass provides the knowledge they need. The fourth impact of our anniversary series.
Since 2021, the DSI's Digital MasterClass has brought research to where decisions about our digital future are made: to numerous cantonal parliaments and to the Federal Parliament in Bern. Experts from the University of Zurich and partner universities deliver practice-relevant insights that are empirically sound and politically independent. Topics range from AI and cybersecurity to education, medicine and sustainability.
Two examples show how concrete this gets. For the Federal Parliament, the Digital MasterClass outlined a framework for AI regulation in Switzerland. For the Zurich cantonal parliament, it provided key insights for revising the cantonal data protection law.
To the impact: Digital MasterClass
The Digital MasterClass is the fourth of ten impacts in the DSI's anniversary series «Decade of Impact». Every week in the run-up to the anniversary celebration on November 24, a new impact will be published here and on the DSI's LinkedIn channel.
