The DSI Congratulates

Claudia Witt, member of the DSI Board of Directors, has joined the advisory board for the electronic health dossier (E-GD). DSI member Nina Hartrampf has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant for her research on lasso peptides.

Claudia Witt, professor of medicine and member of the DSI Board of Directors, is part of the newly established advisory board for the electronic health dossier (E-GD). The board was convened on September 1, 2026, on the initiative of Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider and tasked by the FDHA with supporting the project leadership with an external perspective on challenges, strengths, and risks. The five-member board is chaired by Martin Vetterli, former president of EPFL and of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Nina Hartrampf, member of the DSI, is one of ten UZH researchers awarded European Research Council funding. Antimicrobial resistance is a major challenge to the health system, and new strategies to combat this threat are therefore required. With «LASSOVERSE», she explores lasso peptides, a unique group of natural molecules that could provide new building blocks for future medicines.
