Shape responsible clinical AI: An expert panel on clinician in the loop AI
The Clinician-in-the-Loop AI (CITL) expert panel is open to all experts and interested individuals working across health, AI, law, ethics, governance, and digital society – whether affiliated with DSI Communities or beyond. Clinical AI sits at the intersection of multiple disciplines, raising questions that no single field can answer alone: how uncertainty should be communicated, when humans must step in, and how accountability should be shared in real care settings.
This is a valuable opportunity to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives from across and beyond the DSI Communities around a concrete and timely challenge in digital health – exchanging insights, identifying common ground, and developing a practical playbook for clinician-in-the-loop AI at UZH. A central focus is how such systems can be built on technical foundations that support transparency, oversight, and real clinical use.
