Anja Schulze

Anja Schulze, Prof. Dr.

Anja Schulze is Associate Professor for Mobility and Digital Innovation Management at the Institute of Business Administration. She holds a DIZH Bridge Professorship and engages to strengthen the connection between UZH and ZHAW on a research level in her field.

Anja studied Business Administration at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Nuremberg, Germany and at the Kelly School of Business in Bloomington, USA. She earned a PhD from the University of St.Gallen, did her habilitation at ETH Zürich, and was awarded a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Professorship which she took up at the University of Zürich.

Her current research interest pertains to the implications of digital technologies for new forms of learning and organizing, both within and among firms, for the purpose of innovation. Methodologically, her research is empirical in nature, and grounded in theoretical foundations, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Anja’s primary research context are the automotive and mobility sectors, which she has been studying for more than 15 years.

Results of her work have been published in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Management, Research Policy or the Journal of Product Innovation Management and have been covered by various news outlets such as SRF Tagesschau, 10vor10, or NZZ.

Further, Anja heads the swiss Center for Automotive Research (swiss CAR) and she is serving as the community lead of the DSI Community Mobility.
