Matthew Wright: Towards an All-in-One Media Forensics Tool
The DSI Community Cybersecurity is delighted to invite you to a keynote by Matthew Wright, Kevin O'Sullivan Professor and Chair of Cybersecurity at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Intelligence analysts, journalists, and forensics experts must quickly and accurately examine information across video, audio, and images. Generative AI confronts them with unprecedented challenges, and they need effective, reliable, and explainable tools for media detection and analysis. Drawing on studies with 30 US-based intelligence analysts, 24 US journalists, and 11 Bangladeshi journalists, Matthew Wright explores what these specialists require from deepfake detection tools and their explainability features. He argues for an all-in-one tool for media forensics and presents an ontology-based approach to designing a navigable user interface for it.
The keynote will be followed by an aperitif and an opportunity to network.
