Lunch Workshop: Get a glimpse at the power of mapping (2D/3D) with ArcGIS Online

Looking to make maps from your spatial data or even from scratch? Eager to dip your toes into basic spatial analysis, all within your web browser? How about breathing life into your data with 3D visuals? In this brief session, you’ll explore the basics of web-based spatial analysis, learn the art of making 2D and 3D maps, and also get used to organising these things in the ArcGIS Cloud.

Join the DSI GIS Hub for a quick 1-hour lunchtime workshop that’s made for everyone, not just geographers.

  • Get a glimpse into web-based map-making and spatial data analysis.
  • Organize different datasets and learn to manage your survey data (see lunch workshop 1), secondary spatial data, and media assets in ArcGIS Online.
  • ‍‍Whether you’re a historian, archaeologist, economist, biologist, geographer, sociologist, or just someone who occasionally needs to explain stuff with 2D/3D maps, we hope to help you.
  • The tool is free for UZH members.
