Patients who are confronted with paralysis can often regain their mobility thanks to therapy, at least partially. But how actively do patients work towards this goal outside rehabilitation? This is where state-of-the-art sensor technology comes into its own.

When the therapy session for patients with motor diseases is finished, ZurichMOVE takes over: day and night, sensors collect a wide variety of data on activity and movement patterns and transmit them to the ZurichMOVE platform. In this way, the therapists receive information on how the therapy goal is achieved in everyday life or to what extent the patient is able to return to everyday life after therapy. Thanks to seamless monitoring, the system also creates the prerequisites for developing fitness trackers for patients on the basis of specific clinical questions. On this year's Digital Day you will get an insight into the sensor technology of ZurichMOVE in daily use and can test the current version of the motion sensors in a wheelchair course. Interested visitors can also have a short activity report sent to them by e-mail, just like ZurichMOVE does for clinical studies.
