Prof. Dr. Viktor von Wyl
DSI Professor and Associate Professor of Digital and Mobile Health at the Institute of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention (EBPI) at the University of Zurich.
Viktor’s research focuses on integrating digital innovations such as speech recognition, wearables, and artificial intelligence into health research and healthcare delivery. With a particular emphasis on multiple sclerosis research, he combines citizen science with digital methods through the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Registry, where he has served as Scientific Director since 2020.
Together with his team, Viktor investigates how novel data modalities – including sensor data and speech – can be robustly combined with conventional epidemiological methods to generate meaningful insights for both patients and healthcare professionals. His group also develops practical tools that support the integration of digital technologies into research and teaching, making them accessible to other researchers and institutions.
