Prof. Dr. Damian Kozbur
Affiliated DSI Professor and Associate Professor of Econometrics at the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich.
Damian's research bridges economic theory and machine learning – developing new methods for estimation, inference, and causal analysis in complex, high-dimensional data environments. His work unlocks insights that would be out of reach with traditional econometric tools: from understanding supply and demand in complicated markets to identifying cause and effect in data with many confounding factors.
With a doctorate from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and fellowships at ETH Zurich, Damian brings deep methodological rigor to the challenge of making sense of today's abundance of economic data.
