Martina Pons is Assistant Professor in Econometrics in the Digital Age at the Department of Economics of the University of Zurich. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Bern in 2025. During her doctoral studies, she spent a research year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Her research focuses on econometrics, with a particular emphasis on distributional methods and panel data. She develops methods to study how policies shape the entire outcome distribution rather than just the average, and she is also interested in applications related to inequality and health economics.
