DSI Professorships: digitalization research at UZH – diverse, connected, impactful
From surgery to democracy: over the past decade, the DSI has supported over 35 professorships across seven faculties. The eighth impact of our anniversary series shows in a video how broad digital research at UZH has become.
Digital transformation reaches into nearly every part of society. Understanding it takes more than a technical lens. That is why the DSI supports professorships that examine digital change from a wide range of perspectives, from technical and legal to social, medical and cultural questions.
The spectrum ranges from cybersecurity and digital health to labor geography and computer-assisted surgery, all the way to digital democracy and regulatory sciences. Through its support, the DSI builds research capacity in promising fields in a targeted way and helps plan professorships. The breadth is deliberate: it shows where digital transformation demands new knowledge – and makes it possible to build that knowledge before gaps appear.
To the impact: DSI Professorships
The DSI Professorships are the eighth of ten impacts in the DSI's anniversary series «Decade of Impact». Every week in the run-up to the anniversary celebration on November 24, a new impact will be published here and on the DSI's LinkedIn channel.
