Workshop on Time Series Analysis for Digital Humanities
This hands-on workshop introduces methods for automated content analysis and time-series text analytics in the humanities. Participants will explore techniques to detect historical trends, cultural shifts, and conceptual change using both supervised and unsupervised models, as well as large language models such as GPT-5 and LLaMA-3 for close reading at scale.
The session will focus on practical applications, combining demonstrations and coding exercises in R and Python. Participants are encouraged to bring their own datasets and research questions for discussion and analysis.
