Following the first edition held in 2023, organized by Eva Cetinic, the event is back with a one-day symposium at the intersection of AI and culture, co-organized with the DSI Community Digital Humanities.
What will be explored:
- AI as an active participant in cultural production & interpretation
- Authorship, agency, context, and meaning in AI-generated content
- Beyond performance: evaluating generative content for cultural relevance & social significance
- AI’s role in curating, preserving, and transforming cultural heritage
- New methods & datasets for understanding patterns and biases

Open Call for Contributions
The symposium invites contributions that employ qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate generative content, taking into account not only measures of performance but also questions of cultural meaning, relevance, and social significance, as well as broader analyses and critical perspectives on AI’s role in curating, preserving, and transforming cultural heritage.
The team invites proposals for 15-minute presentations addressing the questions above or related topics. Contributions may include research papers, artistic projects, theoretical reflections, or methodological approaches.

- Notification of acceptance: November 3, 2025
- Format: Title and 200 - 300 words abstract
