«Datenökosystem Schweiz» – a new funding scheme for data space prototypes
The DSI invites you to an information event of a new funding scheme promoted by the Federal Chancellery (Bundeskanzlei). The funding scheme is presented by Felix Gille, DSI Postdoc and «Unternehmensarchitekt Vertrauenswürdigkeit und Identifikation» at the Federal Chancellery.
Felix Gille, enterprise architect at the Federal Chancellery of Switzerland and DSI Postdoc at the University of Zurich, will introduce the «Anlaufstelle Datenökosystem Schweiz» and its funding scheme for data space prototypes.
The «Anlaufstelle», established within the Federal Chancellery, serves as a central hub for coordinating the development of trustworthy and interoperable data spaces in Switzerland. Its mandate is to support both public and private actors in aligning their initiatives with shared principles, thereby fostering compatibility and international connectivity. Alongside legal and technical guidance, governance frameworks, and Communities of Practice, the «Anlaufstelle» advances innovation through its prototype funding program, launched in January 2025.
This scheme provides financial and expert support to projects that address real needs, demonstrate scalability, and contribute to the broader data ecosystem. Prototypes act as experimental platforms to validate concepts, test technical and architectural models, and generate knowledge that informs the evolution of national and cross-sector infrastructures. By promoting reuse, enabling collaboration across administrative levels and private sectors, and integrating international standards, the initiative strengthens Switzerland’s capacity to build a resilient, future-oriented, and interoperable data ecosystem.
