DSI AI Meetup: LLMs as a Research Tool
.png)
The DSI Community Democracy invites you to an interdisciplinary roundtable and discussion on the use of large language models (LLMs) as a research tool in the social sciences. The event aims to explore the topic from a variety of angles — including methodological, practical, and ethical perspectives. LLMs are already widely used in research, but their use raises important questions, making it all the more valuable to share experiences, reflect on emerging practices, and discuss evolving recommendations.
The roundtable will be followed by an interactive networking session and apéro, offering participants the chance to exchange ideas and connect across research fields.
The following panelists are part of the roundtable:
- Jing Zeng (University of Zurich)
- Joachim Baumann (University of Zurich)
- Nikolai Berk (ETH Zurich)
- Karsten Donnay (University of Zurich)
The discussion will be moderated by Fabrizio Gilardi (University of Zurich).
