SIRON stands for “Swiss infrastructure for Responsible Online Research”. The final aims of the project is to create a Swiss-wide infrastructure for responsible online research with a particular focus on participant recruitment, data protection, research community building and sharing of methodologies and results. SIRON addresses the needs of disciplines like psychology, social sciences, and public health that rely on recruiting and interacting with persons for online research.

Currently, we survey needs of UZH researchers regarding data usage along the whole data life cycle with a focus on participant recruitment. The DSI collaborates in that respect with other “data players” of UZH such as UZH Data Services, S3IT and the department of data protection.
