Digital Society Initiative

DSI Projects

The Digital Society Initiative (DSI) aims to help shape the digital transformation of society and science. With this goal in mind, the DSI is working on various projects.

Four categories are distinguished:

Strategic projects are initiated by the DSI Board of Directors and mostly deal with concrete challenges of the digital transformation for the University of Zurich (UZH). They are financed by DSI strategic funds.

DSI third-party projects are based at the DSI due to their interdisciplinary nature. UZH researchers can apply to have their third-party funded project managed by the DSI.

Each year, the DSI Strategy Lab addresses a focus area determined by the DSI Board of Directors. Conceptual analyses and strategic scenarios for future developments of the digital transformation are developed.

DSI Infrastructures & Labs are collaborative infrastructures or structural vessels for the creation of collaborative research environments related to digital transformation. They are co-funded by the DSI Infrastructure/Lab program.

Completed projects can be found in the archive.
