Research interest and expertise

Jeffrey works as a Postdoctoral Fellow on the digital transformation of medicine. Within the DSI Strategy Lab «Artificial Intelligence in Medicine», he focuses on applications of AI within clinical settings both current and within the next 5-10 years as well as understanding how to steer them in a way maximizing benefits and minimizing harm potential. In his prior doctoral work «Regulation for the adoption of digital health technologies», he researched the gap between the availability of new digital health technologies and their effective regulation for their implementation into clinical practice and beyond. Digital twins – an emerging metaverse technology – as well as Diagnostics Apps have been the focus of his work employing a spectrum of theoretical and empirical methods such as machine learning and quantitative surveys.
