AI, Culture and Society Reading Group
The next reading group event of the DSI Community AI, Culture & Society will focus on Prof. Dr. Beth Singler’s forthcoming article «Specialists without Spirit: GenAI Professors, Epistemic Networks, and Religious Education». The event will begin with a keynote by Prof. Singler, followed by an open discussion and an apéro.
Prof. Dr. Beth Singler is Assistant Professor in Digital Religion(s) at the University of Zurich, Co-Director of the URPP Digital Religion(s), a member of the DSI Board of Directors, and co-lead of the Media Existential Encounters and Evolving Technology Lab. As an anthropologist, her research explores the intersections of religion and artificial intelligence, as well as the broader social and ethical implications of contemporary AI developments.
